We first went live at the end of 2015, with the goal of being WA’s best online site for local design inspiration.
DesignWA posts weekly features showcasing everything from architecture, to hospitality design, local artists and architects. We LOVE Western Australia and we LOVE celebrating homegrown design with you.
Make DesignWA your go-to location for all things design; and join us as we launch exciting new projects in 2017, including online shop Design STATE.
Design WA can also offer a number of design and marketing services through project857.com (our parent company), these include but are not limited to:
Social Media Marketing
Colour, Materials, Furniture, Equipment and Artwork Selection
Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay updated on the latest posts and design news we have to offer. We are also the team behind the Open House Perth event, and hope you can join us in November for Open House Perth 2017!
Meet the team
Carly Barrett- Creative Director
Carly is an award-winning architect and the director of design practice project857. Carly is also the founder and Creative Director of Open House Perth, a not-for profit organisation that promotes local design. Apart from multi-tasking around Northbridge you’ll find her engrossed in a magazine, exhibition or her favourite beverage… an ice cold beer.
Rebecca Warger- Editorial Director and Project Manager
Rebecca is an talented marketing graduate who has help to co-found the design in WA project. Apart from being seriously smart beyond her years, Rebecca is also the heart of the Open House Perth event, and most notably the tallest person amongst us by far. Her passion for great design and collaborative projects has fuelled her full-throttle professional development
Dion Robeson – Photographer + Contributor
Dion is a Perth based photographer specialising in architecture and interiors. Not only is Dion one of WA’s most talented design photographers but he has also recently exhibited a renowned floral artistry project collaborating with Alicia Lowe (The Wild Flower Perth) for the These Don’t Die project. Stephen Corns- Financial Director
Without Mr Corns involvement keeping us in line, none of this would be possible. Not only does he cross our eyes and dot our teas, but he also keeps us giggling with incredibly bad dad jokes, having recently become a father these jokes are somewhat legitimised though the quality has not improved.
