I’m Georgina. I’m an illustrator and Graphic Designer and I hate that I started that sentence in such a generic way.
I feel a need to do everything, and because of this, my style as an illustrator seems not so refined yet!  I would say some elements that stand out/ describe my work are that I create quite feminine pieces, including floral illustrations, portraits, and textile designs. Other things I like include reading, annoying siblings, making things without a recipe and doing things in record time (I once showered PROPERLY in under 60 seconds- my sister can vouch).

What inspires you? Where do you look for inspiration?

Books, poems, quotes, lyrics, things other people say, other people in general, their facial expressions, an emotion, a new place, nature.
I always try and fit ideas that come from these things into a piece if I can, it’s not always easy to do/ easy to make a viewer see what you’re actually trying to portray, but sometimes that’s the beauty as they make their own interpretation.

What current projects are you working on?

Graphic Design wise I’m working on creating a brand for Revolv Health and Wellness – it’s a nice change seeing as I’ve never worked on anything clinical before. Branding for Milk & Nourish is another little project - my cousin's lactation cookies company (deeeeeelicious, and anyone can eat them!)
I just finished a nice illustration project creating three portraits of girls representing raw beauty for ADeSO Skin and Beauty Salon. And another fun project was operation “decorate my own apartment for free” which included lots of collaging, Blu-taking, and quick charcoal sketches.

What is special about this project?

All of the companies I’m doing work for at the moment are all about looking after yourself and nourishing your body. I’m loving the message and tone they all portray. They focus on customer experience and that’s what pulls people in and makes them feel like they’re not just another number – that’s what makes these jobs special.

Where is your favourite hometown spot?

Phhhwwwoooarrrrr…… the beach.

What should we expect to see from you in the future?

I’d love to work on food packaging in the future! And maybe some more large scale illustration pieces - big paint brushes and large blank canvases scare me a little so I’m going to try to overcome that!
