Throughout November designFarm held home.grown: The Exhibition- a celebration of Australian design to showcase the latest home-grown products by TAIT and NAU, resulting from exciting collaborations between iconic Australian designers and industry leaders.
The event also saw an Industry Panel Discussion, led by design enthusiast and advocate for Australian design Anne-Maree Sargeant, exploring how commitment and collaboration between designers and the commissioning brands promote Australian creativity and nurtures lifelong relationships.
With the ever-growing digital world and expanse of the world wide web, Copyright and patent laws were also one of the hot topics of the night with the Industry Panel discussing the importance of re-educating the consumer and raising awareness of the benefits of buying original designs versus copies.
Richard Munao- Founder of CULT and NAU, Australia’s latest contemporary design brand
Gordan Tait- Designer and founder of TAIT
Adam Goodrum-Renowned for his innovation and distinct aesthetic, Goodrum presents his latest designs for TAIT and NAU.
Adam Cornish- Melbourne based designer whose work includes furniture design, household innovation and commercial and residential installations.
Anne-Maree Sargeant- Founder of The Authentic Design Alliance, a members-based education platform supporting original designer furniture and lighting in Australia.
DesignWA photographer and contributor Dion Robeson was one of many in attendance on the opening night and managed to capture some of the finer details of the pieces on show.
